WordPress 4.4 “Clifford” is out and it brings some exciting new features to the core that were previously only available as plugins. First off: the REST API. It allows developers to do unprecedented things such as powering your mobile App with a WordPress site. Second: responsive images. Some fancy logic (and recently adopted new webstandards) smarty resize images based on the width of the device you’re viewing the site on. Smaller sized images for smaller screens make a faster website! Third: post embedding with oEmbed; just add a url to a WordPress post in your website and it will automatically show the title, featured image and excerpt. Thanks to the WordPress team for making our work easier and our online life a little bit better!
